SPITFIRE MKVII MASTER DRAWING PRINT
There is a fine line between art and engineering as this beautifully draughted drawing demonstrates.
This is an unframed print of the original Spitfire MKVII propeller master-drawing, taken from the Hordern-Richmond archive, hand drawn on translucent draftsman paper in ink pen on the 17th August 1943 and initialed by the draughtsman, ‘M.A.E’.
During the turbulent years of WWII, this precise drawing provided the Hordern Richmond Workshops with the exact specifications for the construction of the propeller blades for Britain’s most famous fighter, the Spitfire.
Print dimensions 42cm (16 1/2”) x 69cm (27 1/4”). We recommend a frame 87 cm (34”) wide by 58 cm (23”)
